Parents, teachers and caregivers can help bring music into
their kids' lives with a variety of fun and easy activities
presented by Sesame Workshop and NAMM-International Music
Products Association.
The Music Zone website at SesameStreet.com is full of interactive
ways to make music with kids, parents—and your favorite
Muppet friends. Sesame Street Music Works also includes an
award-winning video; supplies are currently exhausted due
to its popularity, but new copies will be available soon.

Sample activities
Before exploring the Music Zone website,
you may want to try these activities with your child for some
instant musical fun!
Words to Sing By
Try making up new words to a simple song and help children
to do the same. They might make funny rhymes, include their
own names, use silly sounds, or tell a whole new story. And
remember, every time you sing a favorite song, your child
can learn new words!
Drumming Dialogue
Encourage children to create their own drum rhythms and patterns
that you can copy. Then ask children to copy you. Start with
just a few beats and add a beat or change the pattern each
time. Invite children to count the beats!
